Answer calls and take a message

By using our message taking service you are creating a professional image for your company by letting your customers speak to a live person rather than an answerphone machine. Our telephone answering service is based in the UK and we never outsource, meaning the voice of your company is familiar and local. We like to think of ourselves as an extension of your business. Unlike other providers we are not a large call centre. You will be issued with a small team, allowing your clients to build a rapport with the same friendly voices each time they call.

Like any switchboard service we answer the call, find out who the caller wishes to speak to then transfer the call through to the relevant individual or department. However as we are based remotely then it cuts down on your costs, and you don’t need to worry about always having someone to cover the phones.

Appointment & Order Taking

Do you run a service-based industry but have difficulty answering your calls or making bookings into your calendar? By using our appointment booking service we can provide you with a bespoke service to make sure that your calls get answered and your customers get booked in with a professional and timely manner.

Along with making bookings we can also take payments over the phone for you, simply provide us with your portal login details and we can take payments for you.

Once signed up we provide you with a telephone number. You can either advertise this number, or if you already have a business number simply divert the calls through to us as and when you need us to answer

Answering calls

With our call answering service we will answer calls in your company name and advise the caller that you will give them a call back. However our service is flexible so you can amend the script and how we deal with the calls.

Value for money

All our plans are month-to-month so you are never tied into long term contracts. In addition we don’t charge for sales calls, wrong numbers, or calls under 20 seconds.

How are messages passed

Most customers prefer us advising any calls that they are out of the office at the moment and we take a message. We can then email the message (free), text (10p) or transfer the call through (from 12p per minute).

FAQs

How can I have my calls diverted?

You can advertise the number which we have provided to you as your business number. If you already have your own number then your calls can be diverted to the number we have provided. We can assist you in diverting your calls through once you sign up.

How do I receive my messages?

We can pass your messages free of charge by email. Otherwise we can send you messages by text message charged at 10p per message. If you would like your calls to be transferred to you we would charge 24p per minute to mobiles and 10p per minute to landlines.

Will I be charged for wrong numbers or sales calls?

Calls under 20 seconds are free of charge, reducing unwelcome calls. Although, If we have passed a message which has been a sales call, just let us know and we can arrange a refund.

When can I switch plans or cancel?

You are not committed long term. Month-to-month billing allows you to choose when, if you wish to cancel, upgrade or downgrade.

How do I pay?

Your invoice will be sent by email to you in advance each month. Any additional call charges will be invoiced in arrears. Payment will be taken from the card you registered with us 3 days after the invoice.

What caller information will you send me?

We would usually ask for the caller’s name, the company they are calling from, a contact number and who they are looking to speak with, along with a short message. If more information is required then contact us to discuss our pay per minute plan will cover your needs.

When will you answer my calls?

We will answer your calls 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Outside these hours we can divert your calls to a voicemail. We can pass on any messages received for you; for unlimited voicemails this will cost only £10 per month!

What kind of number will you provide me?

No matter what area code or national number you require we can provide it for you. If you require an 0800, 0207, or 0208 number then there may be an additional charge. Contact us to discuss which number would best suit you.

How do you answer my calls?

We will answer your calls in your company name. Our team is made up of 5 members who will answer your calls, allowing your customers to build rapport and recognise the same professional and friendly voices with every call. We can also follow a script if required.

What about calls out of hours?

If you are concered about missing calls out of hours we can offer you a Personalised Voicemail for £10 per month with a £10 set up fee. This will allow you to provide a bespoke answer message and be notified when someone leaves a message.

Not impressed with the hard-sell approach - not what I would expect from a professional organisation.

I recently moved our registered address service to Clyde Offices after our previous provider discontinued the service. I already had a separate provider in place for director-related services.

Shortly after, I received an email stating that I had incorrectly linked directors to the registered address during the switch and that, “to remain compliant,” my service would be upgraded. I responded immediately to explain this was an error on the register and that I would correct it.

Despite this, my credit card had already been charged without clear prior authorisation.

I have raised a formal complaint and requested a refund. This experience has not met the standard I would expect from a professional registered office service provider.

It was so easy to set up a registered office with Clyde Offices. As it was my first time needing this kind of service, I physically went into the office to make sure it was real (it is!). The people were very helpful and I signed up for my business as soon as I got home.
